By Francis Xavier | These Canadian photogs are surprisingly comfortable snapping close range pics of Earth’s largest living land predator, but notice the doors of their SUV are open in case the hypercarnivor decided to change course. Perhaps because the footage comes from Churchill, Manitoba, Canada where approximately 900 polar bears migrate every year and sightings are super common aye. That is about 1 polar bear to every resident of Churchill. YIKES.
The fact that apex predators casually walk through town could put certain people off but its a selling point for the folks at Travel Manitoba. Here’s an infographic designed to attract tourists:
