With recent discussions on gender-affirming healthcare becoming more widespread, it’s made the question on if gender-affirming healthcare should even be allowed for those under 18 more popular. According to Columbiapsychiatry.org, research often shows that medical and psychosocial gender-affirming care improves the overall well-being of each and every transgender/non-binary child. This is significant since every child — or every person for that matter — deserves to feel comfortable and contempt in their body.
