The TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database gives insight into 93 projects for the Hotel Indigo brand.
As many as 16,289 new rooms are encompassed within the impressive pipeline for this IHG brand focused on boutique properties.
Hotel Indigo is expanding its global footprint over the coming years with 54 hotels comprising 10,135 rooms on track to opening in Asia, 16 hotels with a total of 2,014 rooms opening in Europe and 12 hotels with 2,139 rooms on the horizon for North America.
Additionally, five hotels with a total of 1,075 are set to open in the Middle East, four hotels with 650 rooms altogether are planned for Africa and two hotels with 276 rooms between them are to open in South America.
Of these projects, 30 hotels are scheduled to open in 2022, 29 hotels are planned for 2023 debut, 25 hotels are expected to open in 2024 and nine hotels are to open in 2025 and beyond.
The top countries for brand growth are China, with a significant 45 hotels in the pipeline, followed by the USA with 11 projects and the UK with eight forthcoming openings. Standout cities within China for development are Chengdu with four hotel projects and Shenzhen with three upcoming openings.
Notable hotel developments within this ambitious pipeline include the early 2023 opening Hotel Indigo Auckland and the early 2026 opening Hotel Indigo Sydney Centre Tattersalls Club.
Hotel Indigo Auckland will be a part of the architecturally striking mixed-use development combining old and new in Auckland Central, with restaurants and residences as well as a hotel.
The hotel here will comprise 225 guest rooms along with an all-day dining offering and bar, meeting space and a fitness centre. The interiors will reflect the property’s locale and most of the rooms promise impressive views over the city and harbour.
The 110-room Hotel Indigo Sydney Centre Tattersalls Club will then be located atop the iconic City Tattersalls Club premises in a newly renovated, 49-story mixed-use tower also home to restaurants, event space, a business lounge, retail offering and health and wellbeing facilities.
The hotel will draw inspiration from the history of the club and location for its design and encompass facilities including a neighbourhood café, bar and gym.
Many TOPHOTELNEWS articles draw on exclusive information from the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database. This subscription-based product includes details of thousands of hotel projects around the world, along with the key decision-makers behind them. Please note, our data may differ from records held by other organisations. Generally, the database focuses on four- and five-star schemes of significant scale; tracks projects in either the vision, pre-planning, planning, under-construction, pre-opening or newly opened phase; and covers newbuilds, extensions, refurbishments and conversions.
